Slow Cooker Apple BBQ Ribs

Recipe #2 countdown of my bushel-full of Macintosh. This was an out-of-this-world recipe and thank goodness it was in the crockpot because we ended up having an extra busy, but productive day around the ranch. I used onions from the garden as well as applesauce from the Yellow Transparent apples. I added potatoes to the bottom (also from the garden) and garlic & pepper, for a well rounded meal. Probably one of the best rib recipes I've had in a while. :)

Mama Schquigs Oven Baked Country-Style Pork Ribs

The hubby bought pork shoulder country style ribs--this was a new one for me. Of course Google didn't let me down. I really enjoyed reading Mama Schquigs blog as well as her methodology/recipe. We even use Sweet Baby Rays as our favorite BBQ sauce. Easy peasy. Serving it up with mashed potatoes, macaroni salad and cornbread. YUM!

Dr Pepper Ribs (Slow Cooker)

I had seen recipes for Dr. Pepper ribs and decided today was the day to cross it off my bucket list. So I thawed out some pork ribs, threw them in the crockpot and "wa-la", 6 hours later (on high), perfection! I (accidentally) omitted the brown suger, but in all honesty, don't think it needed it. What a wonderful 5 ingredient dish. Definitely one of my favorite (easy) crockpot meats. It would be a great idea for a party (such as Super Bowl.....).

Sheet Pan Series (ribs with corn and potatoes)

I've been told I need to start taking pics and blogging about my sheet pan dinners. Although every dinner is very similar, some this week have turned out strangely different and delicious.

Always use parchment paper first, then I cover with aluminum foil and cook for 1-1.5 hours. Also, typically mix veggies and meat in a mixing bowl with olive oil and some type of seasoning.
